  • "The cottage is well equipped and there was nothing else we needed. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into it. We had a great time playing games around the table and chilling with the log burner and music playing. We had walks around Tideswell Dale, The Monsal Trail, and along the River Wye. The warm dog shower outside is a brilliant idea."

We particularly enjoyed Quiz Night at The Star, and the pork pies from the bakers, also very good fish & chips from Elliott’s. We enjoyed walks around Thornbridge Estate and National Trust Longshaw Estate. Very special welcome pack, much enjoyed! We enjoyed lovely meals on the AGA."

We recommend The Star for great pies, Sal’s Italian for great Spag Bol, and The Red Lion at nearby Litton! Walks to the Bleak Low Moor B29 US Aircraft wreak, the stepping stones at Dovedale to Milldale, and Chatsworth House, we could have spent all day there!"
