Enjoying a blend of rustic and contemporary features, this former shop dating back to 1729 takes its name from the first shop keeper, William Slack, known locally as Billy Whiskey.

  • What a beautiful cottage, everything you could ask for and more! Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Warm and cozy, a lovely log burner, the AGA was amazing, we wanted to cook the whole time! There is a shower and bath, which is great for a soak after long walks in the Peaks.

    A beautiful and historic village located halfway between Buxton and Bakewell, known as ‘Cathedral of the Peaks’ due to its superb church. Tideswell has four pubs, two restaurants, a bakery, green grocer, a Co-op, and a butcher.

    The original National Park. Visit outstanding country estates, like Chatsworth and Haddon, take in inspiring views from Mam Tor and Kinder Scout, and take in history at Lady Bower reservoir and ‘The Plague Village’ at Eyam.
